Castro Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, September 1st , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Mauro Castro of the Detroit (DSL) Tigers at Baseball City Complex. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Castro finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Tigers to a win, 7-1. "Castro was really good and we were really bad," groaned Diamondbacks manager Audo Vicente. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Mauro Castro hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
