Josh Stevens's hitting streak is becoming the talk of DSL. The 21-year-old right fielder extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 2-for-5 performance against the DSL Angels. The Hammers won the game, 6-4.
"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful."
Josh Stevens struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off José Alomar in the 9th.
So far this season, Stevens is batting .419 with 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 124 at-bats, 19 walks and a .486 OBP. Stevens has played in 32 games.
