Round 1 Goes the Distance, State College Prevails Thursday, August 28th , 2025 It took a while, but the State College Spikes finally disposed of the Hudson Valley Renegades 9-7 in the series clincher at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Winning the finale gave the Spikes the series, 3-2. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to State College left fielder Dan Carlson. He batted .562 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 5 runs. The State College Spikes will play against the Connecticut Tigers in the next round. Connecticut won their series against the Batavia Muckdogs 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
