Red-Hot Pond Scorches JetHawks Monday, September 7th , 2026 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Dan Pond of the Inland Empire 66ers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 12-6 win over the Lancaster JetHawks at San Manuel Stadium. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Dan Pond flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
