Díaz Tags JetHawks for 5 Hits Thursday, August 14th , 2025 Jorge Díaz told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Díaz of the San Jose Giants did against the Lancaster JetHawks. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a defeat, 8-7. "Not much I can say," offered Díaz in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Jorge Díaz singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Walt Quick in the 8th, struck out in the 10th and grounded out in the 12th.
