Ramsey to Retire, May Enter Governor's Race Sunday, January 11th , 2026 Mud Hens second baseman James Ramsey announced today that he is retiring from baseball. What he does next is still anyone's guess. The popular Ramsey has been rumored to be considering a run for political office, namely governor. "He hasn't told me what his plans are," said Toledo manager Yusmeiro Petit. "I know he has an interest in politics, but he hasn't tipped his hand yet, either way." Asked whether he thought Ramsey was qualified to hold public office, "Petit replied, "Definitely. I think he'd be a great governor. He's has exactly the kind of leadership skills this state needs." Associates say Ramsey will make a decision on his future in the next few weeks. |
