Durham-Syracuse Fight Results in Suspensions Sunday, August 24th , 2025 If there wasn't a history between Luis Cardenas of Durham and Chris Brown of Syracuse, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Cardenas said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Thus far this season, Cardenas is hitting .220 with 11 home runs, 39 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 88 hits in 400 at-bats and has played in 114 games. For the season, Brown has compiled a 7-10 record with a 3.67 ERA. |
