Chiefs, Adkins Stonewall Gwinnett, 5-0 Tuesday, May 23rd , 2023 The Syracuse Chiefs rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Gwinnett Firebirds at NBT Bank Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Mike Adkins, who shackled the Gwinnett Firebirds and held them scoreless on a 6-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Adkins said in his postgame press conference. Presently Adkins has a 2-3 mark in 6 starts with a 1.97 ERA.
