When the games really matter, the Delmarva Shorebirds put on their best show, beating the West Virginia Power by a final score of 4-0. António Guzmán was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Delmarva now leads West Virginia 1-0 in the best-of-5 affair.

There was more than one reason the Shorebirds beat the Power, but Guzmán's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-0 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Guzmán.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.
