Columbus Takes Round 1 Game 1, Walker Stars
The Columbus Clippers started the Round 1 in style, downing the visiting Toledo Mud Hens at Huntington Park by a score of 7-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Clippers first baseman Ron Walker went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times.

With Columbus leading 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Jesús Santos hit a 2-run double off Toledo pitcher Dax Johnson. It put the Clippers ahead 4-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Columbus manager Carlos Garcia.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Huntington Park in Columbus.
