The Pawtucket Red Sox earned a win at McCoy Stadium, stopping the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 8-1. Starting pitcher Jon Bascombe played a big role in his team's success. In 7 innings, Bascombe surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Pawtucket pushed its record to 17-17.

Ed Dennis had a big 2-run double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the third inning.
