Lehigh Valley turned a good effort from starter Manny Banuelos into a win over the Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Park. The final score was 4-2. Miguel Angel Martínez nailed down his 6th save. Today's win puts Lehigh Valley at 14-17, while Syracuse falls to 19-12.
Lehigh Valley took a 4-2 lead on Avisail Garcia's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Garcia hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Syracuse pitcher Cristian Quintin visibly frustrated.
Said losing manager Dave Anderson: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
