Watts Sensational for Clippers
|
The Columbus Clippers scooped up a win at Huntington Park, dumping the Louisville Bats, 1-0. Chris Watts, who is tied for 7th in the IL with a 0.93 WHIP, was essential to his team's success. Heath Hembree got credit for the save for Columbus. It was his 8th of the year. The Clippers, now 20-8, have been on a roll in the early going.
Columbus starter Chris Watts was exceptional. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings of work.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Watts.
