The Syracuse Chiefs cut down the Rochester Red Wings by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Ken Ochoa. Ochoa went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Chiefs. Syracuse pitcher Chris Brown got the win. He's now 3-2. José González was tagged with the loss. Aurelio Flores collected save number 3.

It could have been a different outcome for Syracuse, had it not been for Luis Carpio, the 27-year old second baseman . Carpio contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Syracuse up, 2-0.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ochoa.

The Red Wings fall to 13-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2025 season.
