Not everyone stuck through the 83-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Getting a good performance from catcher Carson Kelly, the Scranton WB RailRiders defeated the Pawtucket Red Sox, 10-5. Kelly went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the RailRiders. Reliever Elvis Hyde picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Juan Aguilar, who is rated as the 91st best prospect by BNN, took the loss.

With Scranton WB leading 7-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Kelly came up to bat against Pawtucket pitcher Sam Bell. Kelly hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the RailRiders on top, 10-3.

"The credit goes to our offense," said Scranton WB manager Andrew Bailey.

The Red Sox, 12-13, continue their sluggish start to the 2025 campaign.
