Syracuse Shuts Out Buffalo, 1-0
|
Syracuse Chiefs starter Chris Brown really did a number on the Buffalo Bisons, shutting them out, 1-0, on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 4 strikeouts.
"We didn't have good at-bats," said Buffalo manager Drew Saylor. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Brown."
Up to now Brown has compiled an ERA of 3.34 with a 10-10 mark over 28 starts. He has 141 strikeouts in 197 innings and has held opponents to a .265 batting average.
