The Columbus Clippers rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Mauro Salazar to a win, beating the Indianapolis Arrows, 3-1, at Huntington Park. The winner was Salazar. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Jeff Gordon. Jesus A. Sanchez, credited with the save, is now 27 for 31 in save opportunities.

The Clippers got a big at-bat from catcher Jon Kline. For the game, Kline was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 22nd double of the season gave Columbus a 2-0 lead.
