Riding the 3-hit performance of the 26-year old right fielder Micker Adolfo, the Charlotte Knights stopped the Gwinnett Firebirds, 6-0. Reliever Steve Ash picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Dan Hicks took the loss. The victory puts Charlotte at 56-83.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Knights had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when catcher Tony González hit a 2-run single. The single came off Dan Hicks and made the score 3-0, Knights. González went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.

Adolfo called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
