Red Wings Lose Again, 2-1, to Mud Hens
The Toledo Mud Hens downed the Rochester Red Wings, 2-1, at Fifth Third Field. Stellar pitching by Juan López had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is rated as the 73rd best prospect by BNN, handcuffed his opponent all game. The winner was López. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was José González. Dylan Nash got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

The Mud Hens got a big hit from designated hitter Chet Thompson. In the bottom of the sixth, Thompson smacked a 2-run home run off Rochester pitcher José González. It was his 4th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Mud Hens were ahead, 2-1.

"We've hit a lull," said Rochester manager Chris Tremie.

The Mud Hens, now 17-6, have been on fire in the early going.
