Gwinnett picked up a win at Coolray Field, toppling the Charlotte Knights, 4-2. Pitcher Nick Kingham was one of the reasons the Firebirds triumphed. Ronald Dominguez got the save, the 15th for him this season. With the win, Gwinnett upped its record to 67-63.

Dylan McQueen contributed to the Firebirds cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single, giving Gwinnett the lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," McQueen said.
