Ismael García brought his A-game to help Syracuse defeat the Durham Bulls, 4-1. Thom Stevens recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 11 for 14. After today's action, Syracuse sits at 54-67, while Durham falls to 47-74.

Kevin M. Gonzalez had a big run-scoring double for the Chiefs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Syracuse leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Brit Johnson and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 2-0.

"Ismael was throwing strikes, locating well," said Syracuse manager Dave Anderson.
