Clippers Get 9-0 Win Versus Buffalo
Spirited fans greeted the Buffalo Bisons for their clash with the Columbus Clippers.

The Columbus Clippers downed the Buffalo Bisons, 9-0, at Coca-Cola Field. Columbus pitcher Ron Reinert definitely brought his A-game. Reinert, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks.

Columbus used a well-timed hit by Eric Jagielo to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Clippers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It's not about individual awards," Reinert told a Columbus Today reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."

Columbus goes to 10-12.
