Pawtucket catcher Mario Pérez helped his team beat the Durham Bulls, 9-4. Pérez went 2 for 3 for the Red Sox. Pawtucket pitcher Juan Aguilar got the win, upping his record to 5-7. Brit Johnson got the loss. Pawtucket has now won 3 in a row.

Mal Bickerton had a big 2-run double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the first inning. With Pawtucket leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Brit Johnson and swatted a double to center. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 3-0.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Bickerton said in postgame remarks.
