Red Wings Suffer 4-1 Home Defeat
Héctor Pérez brought his A-game to help Syracuse defeat the Rochester Red Wings, 4-1. Thom Stevens was credited with the save, his 8th in 10 tries. Syracuse is now 51-62. Rochester is 44-69.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, Kevin M. Gonzalez was at the plate when Syracuse scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Chiefs to go in front, 2-1.

Gonzalez told a Syracuse Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
