The Scranton WB RailRiders defeated the Gwinnett Hammers, 5-4, at Coolray Field. Scranton WB right fielder Randy González had a superb performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Picking up his 2nd save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Billy Bell. The win takes Scranton WB to 13-8.

Scranton WB used a timely hit from Al White to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the RailRiders ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I was a little disappointed," said Gwinnett manager Ron Warner. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
