The Charlotte Knights faced a tough opponent in Rochester pitcher Luis Gil, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Frontier Field by a final score of 4-1. Gil went 9 innings and allowed 4 runs. Yeferson Ardiles came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 4-0. Chris Freudenberg converted his 4th save in 7 tries.

Charlotte used the timely hitting of Terry McClure to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said McClure.

The Knights go to 42-65 with the win.
