The Columbus Clippers scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Charlotte Knights at BB&T Stadium. Columbus pitcher Chris Watts held his own in the contest. The 63-39 Clippers lead the West Division by one game.

Hugues Bertolucci dealt the Knights a blow in the top of the seventh. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Columbus leading 4-0, Bertolucci, who is tied for 5th in the IL in hits with 94, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Watts. "More importantly, I had a good game."
