Clippers Get One-Run Win at Charlotte
The Columbus Clippers topped the Charlotte Knights, 7-6, in International League action at BB&T Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Columbus pitcher and Detroit, Michigan, native Rangi Yungara. Picking up the save was Juan Álvarez. He's now 13 for 15 in save chances. Columbus, at 53-45, is 3½ games up in the West Division.

Anthony Garcia delivered a big hit for Columbus. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Clippers ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

Garcia told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
