Stan Jordan had a good game, but he could not keep the Rochester Red Wings from falling, 4-3, to the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park. The Rochester first baseman went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles in the loss. The win brings the Clippers to 13-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Joaquín López drove in one run for Columbus. The speedster had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Manny Santana. It was his 14th RBI of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Columbus manager Carlos Garcia.
