The Charlotte Knights got a hard-earned win over the Durham Bulls, 7-4, in 12 innings. Luis Mejia provided some offensive muscle for Charlotte. He went 3 for 6 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Jimmy Stanley earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 2-3. Trey Ball recorded the save, making him 2 for 2.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Mejia delivered big-time for Charlotte, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Tony Larkin. The game-changing hit put the Knights on top, 5-4.
