In Extras, Knights Beat Arrows
The Charlotte Knights outlasted the Indianapolis Arrows in an extra-inning thriller.

The Charlotte Knights faced a tough opponent in Indianapolis pitcher Oscar Stanford, but found a way to pull out the victory at Victory Field by a final score of 6-5 in 12 innings. Stanford went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Charlotte pitcher Trey Ball earned the win, hiking his record to 4-2. Jesús Vásquez suffered the loss.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Rob Bowman? The 26-year old right fielder Bowman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put Charlotte up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Indianapolis manager Walt Wilhelms. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."

Charlotte now has a record of 39-39 with the win.
