The Buffalo Bisons downed the Scranton WB RailRiders, 7-0, at PNC Field. The Bisons were led by Steve Johnson. Johnson went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Pancho Maldonado went 5 innings for Buffalo to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with no runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. His record improves to 7-8. Dylan Bundy earned the save, his 1st in 1 tries.

Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Álex Guiñónes to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Bisons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Johnson told the Buffalo Chronicle, "and we played pretty well tonight."

With the win, the Bisons hiked their record to 40-37.
