Bickerton Socks Bulls in 10-7 Red Sox Win
The Pawtucket Red Sox defeated the Durham Bulls, 10-7, in part because of right fielder Mal Bickerton. Bickerton slugged 3 home runs, while adding 10 RBI and scoring three times for the Red Sox. José Pérez snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 1.2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Edwin Diaz picked up the save for Pawtucket, his 3rd of the year.

In the top of the eighth, the Red Sox grabbed the lead when Bickerton hit his 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Brendan Cline made it 10-7, Pawtucket.

"We take it day by day here," said Bickerton, "and today was a good one for us."

The win gives Pawtucket a record of 8-6.
