Bats Deal Toledo 5-2 Defeat
|
The Louisville Bats defeated the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-2, in International League action at Fifth Third Field. Louisville pitcher António García had a standout performance. Louisville reliever António García picked up the win, while Tim Woods took the loss for Toledo. Carlos Contreras recorded his 1st save for Louisville.
Louisville used the timely hitting of Rusty Pratt to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bats on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
Louisville manager Jose Leger was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
Toledo drops to 8-3.
