RailRiders Hand Buffalo 10-5 Loss
The Scranton WB RailRiders beat the Buffalo Bisons, 10-5, at PNC Field. Manny Sanchez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Billy Campbell was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. The save went to Phil Gilbert, his 1st this season.

Tim Scott had a big run-scoring double for the RailRiders in the bottom of the first inning. With Scranton WB leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Todd and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RailRiders ahead, 3-1.

In postgame comments, Scott told the Scranton WB Daily: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"

The win gives the RailRiders a record of 5-2.
