Hurler Héctor Hernández gave the Charlotte Knights a solid start. The native of Guaynabo, Bayamón helped his team defeat the Norfolk Tides, 3-1, at BB&T Stadium. The winner was Hernández. He threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Emmanuel Clase. With the loss, Norfolk is 2-1.
