Despite the exploits of second baseman Jorge Salinas, the Charlotte Knights were beaten by the Scranton WB RailRiders, 9-8, in 10 innings. Salinas went 4 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Scranton WB now has a record of 30-25 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Robbie Lambright in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Monte Young to win the game for Scranton WB. The home crowd went nuts.
