Bats Eke Out 5-4 Win Versus Buffalo

Powered by Rusty Pratt, the Louisville Bats downed the Buffalo Bisons, 5-4. Pratt was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Bats. Louisville pitcher Chad Johnson got the win, upping his record to 3-5. Jesús Ortíz got the loss. The Bisons, now 24-24, have lost 4 straight.
Louisville used a timely hit from Steve Erwin to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bats ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
Erwin said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
