In a low-scoring contest, Indianapolis pitcher Aaron Blair was marvelous in his team's 2-0 win. Mason McCullough, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Duane Cooper finished to wrap up his 4th save.

The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Indianapolis pinch hitter José Zamora. In the top of the eighth inning, with two out and the bases empty, Zamora hit a solo home run to help Indianapolis seize the win.

"The old adage is true," said Blair. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

Indianapolis is now 20-27, Scranton WB 19-28.
