Lefty Wells Leads Toledo to 2-0 Win
|
Starting pitcher Jonathan Wells had a solid game. He was a big reason the Toledo Mud Hens throttled the Buffalo Bisons, 2-0. Justus Sheffield earned the save for Toledo, his 15th of the year. Toledo is now 24-22, Buffalo 22-24.
Wells imposed his will on the Bisons, scattering 3 hits over 7.2 innings while striking out 9. The left-hander upped his season record to 4-3.
"It never gets old," said Wells. "Winning, that is."
