Rochester pitcher Curt Boyd had a large part in his team subduing the Buffalo Bisons, 7-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Buffalo's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Stan Jordan had a big run-scoring double for the Red Wings in the top of the third inning. With Rochester leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Pierce Johnson and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Wings ahead, 2-0.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Jordan.
