Briggs Helps Arizona Bombard Colorado
The Arizona Diamondbacks blasted the Colorado Rockies, 15-4. Derek Briggs was one of the hitting stars. He slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored three times for Arizona. Arizona currently is in first place in the National League West Division at 70-52.

With Arizona trailing 3-0 in the top of the third, Briggs hit a curveball from Steve Rhind for a grand slam home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Diamondbacks ahead, 4-3.

"Winning is contagious," said Briggs. "We're looking forward to the next game."
