Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Round 2, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs could not close the deal.
Game 4 went into extra frames and the Norfolk Tides emerged victorious, taking a 11-inning, 2-1 win. Norfolk pitcher Al Rucker threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball in the win at Coca-Cola Park to drag the Tides back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
Rucker allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7.1 innings for the Tides. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
"I was talking to myself on the mound, saying 'attack, attack, attack, stay convicted, no matter what,'" said Rucker.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
