Segura Handcuffs Suns, BlueClaws Seize 2-1 Advantage in R1
The Lakewood BlueClaws silenced the Hagerstown Suns today to move within one game of the Round 2. The BlueClaws shut out the Suns by a final score of 3-0 at Municipal Stadium. Lakewood right-hander Dayrol Segura had a strong outing. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the BlueClaws a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

In his 111-pitch effort, Segura allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 9.

"Teams don't get here by being incompetent, so I really wasn't expecting this," Segura said. "I just kept throwing and they kept missing."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown.
