Charleston Win to Pull Even With Delmarva
The Charleston RiverDogs defeated the Delmarva Shorebirds, 2-0, in Game 2 of the Round 2. Doing his part was starter Omar Padua, who threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Charleston into a 1-1 tie with Delmarva in the series.

Charleston won the game in part because of Jeremy Herman. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the RiverDogs ahead, 2-0. For the game, Herman had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

Herman said his team "played with determination."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston.
