Suns Best Grasshoppers in Pitching Duel
The Hagerstown Suns took Greensboro pitcher Dave Proulx's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Municipal Stadium. The final score had Hagerstown getting past the Grasshoppers, 1-0. Proulx went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 6. Colm Tucker notched his 5th save in 6 chances. The Suns sport a record of 56-81.

Mike Porter came through for Hagerstown when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike sinker to right field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Greensboro skipper J.A. Happ.
