Shorebirds Get Dramatic 4-3 Triumph
The Delmarva Shorebirds bested the Hickory Crawdads, 4-3, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Jimmy Koch was one of the standouts. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The winner was Delmarva reliever Robinson García, now 9-3. The loser was Trip Pauly. Delmarva, at 89-47, is 12 games up in the Northern Division.

Jim Stevens was the walk-off hero for Delmarva. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shorebirds catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

After the game, Delmarva manager Tripp Keister applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
