Greensboro had no answer for 27-year old left-handed pitcher Rod Fitzgerald. The Delmarva Shorebirds starter stymied Grasshoppers hitters, helping the Shorebirds cruise to victory, 6-0. Fitzgerald, the winner, moves to 6-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Ernie McGrath was credited with the save.
