Hagerstown Sends Greensboro Packing with 5-0 Loss
Hagerstown Suns pitcher Jim Richmond was in fine form, leading his team past the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 5-0. The Suns, at 35-48, inhabit last place in the Northern Division.

The Suns got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mike Porter. For the game, Porter went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Hagerstown a 4-0 lead.

"Jim is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Hagerstown manager Lonnie Chisenhall.
