Shorebirds Rally to Tally 2-1 Win
|
In a tight affair between the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Hickory Crawdads, pitcher Jimmy Fuson was in the zone. The Delmarva right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. The winner was Delmarva reliever Albert Corona, now 2-2. The loser was Ernie Daniels. Stan Maloney, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities.
Dylan Battle came through for Delmarva when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 1-2 sinker to left field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Everything felt in sync," said Fuson.
The Shorebirds have a winning streak of 6 games.
